Banana Bread

How about baking a loaf of bread rather than buying the same stuff from the daily needs store? Well, we tried it last week, and it turned out to be amazingly yum. It is a must try for all those who love the combination of banana and walnuts.


2 eggs
3 large ripe bananas
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup wheat flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp grounded cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 chopped walnuts


1. Preheat the oven at 160-180 degrees.
2. Grease and dust the loaf pan of 12 x 8 inches
3. Beat the sugar and butter for a minute.
4. Add the egg, one at a time, and beating well after each egg is added
5. Add the flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt, in the mixture and blend it well with the electric mixture
6. Now add the whole what flour to the mixture
7. With a fork, make puree of the bananas. Add the purée, vanilla essence and chopped walnuts to the mixture. Mix well
8. Pour the batter in the pan and keep it for 35-40 minutes. Chek with tooth prick, and if not done, keep it for another 10 minutes.
9. There, the homemade banana bread is ready to be enjoyed with the marmalade or apricot jam. Bon appétit
