  • 10-12 pices of Bhindi (okra)
  • 1 tsp Amchur (dry mango powder)
  • 1 tsp Bhuna Jeera (roasted cumin powder)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 sheet of newspaer or any blotting paper

  • Method
Wash and dry the Bhindi. Slice the Bhindi vertically so that you get 5-6 strips from each Bhindi.

Heat oil in shallow pan. Once the oil is hot, add the Bhindi. Shallow fry it on the medium flame for approx 7-10 min. Once the bhindi changes the color to light brown, remove it from the flame.

Spread it on a newspaper or any other blotting paper to remove excess oil. Toss it a few times so that the oil is well absorbed by the paper. Now add the masalas- Salt, Amchur and Bhuna Jeera Powder. Mix it well so that the Bhindi is coated with the masala.

The Bhindi Kurkure are ready to be served/eaten.
