Chicken Pakoda

Chicken Pakoda is an Indian version of fried chicken. It is a snack which you can enjoy with the chai on a rainy afternoon or with the chilled beer on a summer evening or otherwise. It could also be a good non-vegeterian starter.

300 gm Chicken (boneless / with bone)
2 medium size Onion
1 tbsp Ginger Paste
Chicken Pakoda

1 1/2 tbsp Garlic Paste
1 tbsp Chilli Powder
3 tbsp Curd
4 tbsp Flour (maida)
2 tbsp Corn Flour
1 Egg
Salt to taste

Clean and wash the chicken properly. Make a paste of the 2 onions. Add all the ingredients except egg to the cleaned chicken and mix well.

Whisk the egg in a separate bowl, and then add it to the masala mix so that the mixuture coats the chicken evenly.

Keep the marinated chciken for around 2 hours inside the refrigerator.

In a deep frying pan heat oil. Then fry the chicken in the oil till the pieces are crispy brown.

Serve it hot with green pudina chutney, sliced onion and lemon. It makes around 10-12 medium size pieces.
