Eggless Jeera Cookies

This Eggless Jeera cookies is super easy to make and stands as our all time favorite. It can be a good tea-time snack for non-egg-terians too. Infact it is our all time favorite home made sweet-salty cookies. 

120 gms all purpose flour (maida)
85 gms cooking butter
30 gms confectioner's sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
1/4 tsp black pepper powder

Eggless Jeera Cookies

Preheat oven at 180 degrees Celsius

Melt the butter in a separate bowl.

Beat melted butter, sugar and salt till light and fluffy.

Add jeera and black pepper powder to it. Add all purpose flour to the butter mixture and mix gently to get a soft dough.

Make small balls of approx 1.5 inch diameter and then flatten it on the top. Sprinkle few jeera on top and press it in the dough.

Grease the baking tray with oil. Place these dough balls in it and bake for 15-20 mins at 180 degrees Celsius or until it changes little color. This makes approx 15 cookies.

Remove the cookies from the baking tray with the wooden spatula and let it cool on the wire mesh. There, the home made sweet-salty cookies are ready to be relished with the hot cup of tea.
