Khoya Peda

This sumptuous easy to make is a delight for all.

  • Khoya - 400 gm
  • 2 tbsp  Clarified butter
  • 200 gm powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cardamom Powder
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped Cashewnuts & Pistachios


1. Take a heavy base dish. Add the khoya & gheee. Stir it for approximately 10 minutes, then add sugar. Keep stirring till the color change to little brownish. Sugar added this time helps to change the color of mixture.

2. Add the cardamon powder and stir it for another 5 minutes.

3. Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool for 3-5 minutes.

4. Let the mixture cool for 2-3 minutes and make pedas in desired shape and size.Thumb it in the centre and add chopped nuts. Alternatively you can also toss the pedas in the chopped nuts so that it covers the pedas well.
Keep the pedas at room temperature for 1 hour.

You can store the pedas for 5-7 days in air-tight container. This makes around 25 pedas.
