Broken Wheat Upma

This broken wheat Upma or dahlia is a perfect meal to start the day. This can be taken for breakfast or id day snack.

1 cup broken wheat upma (dahlia)
1 cup finely cut veggies (carrots, french beans, capsicum, and green peas)
1  medium size finely cut tomato
1  medium size vertically sliced onion
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste
1 tbsp cumin seeds
1 seedless green chilly 

Roast the grain in a large skillet till it is pale brown.

Remove it form the pan. Add some some oil to the pat and sizzle the cumin seeds. Now add onion and saute it. Add cut vegetables and stir fry it for 1-2 minutes.

Now add the cut tomato and salt. Mix it well. Add the roasted grain, and 2 cups of water. Mix all well.

Boil it for 2 minutes and then keep it on the low flame for 10-15 minutes. If the water still remains then keep it some more time.

There the sumptuous healthy dalhia is ready to relish.

You can also use pressure cooker instead of skillet. 3-4 whistle pressures are enough to cook.
