The Ants Cafe

What a lively place…Last weekend, we chose to check out the new place, Ants café, nested in the neighborhood of Indira Nagar. This small north Eastern café, adorns exclusive collection on the ground floor while the first floor hosts a lovely café. It is carved out of the first floor of a bungalow, it has beautiful rooms with open walls, to get seated. Since it has open walls, with no windows as such, provides excellent ventilation, and is also overlooking the small neighborhood. Since it is on cul-de-sac, it helps to stay away from the noise which otherwise torn you away.

It was drizzling, as soon we entered the cafe. After browsing through their collection on the ground floor, we moved to the first floor to have a bite. The entire furniture is made of bamboo wood gelling well with the collection on the ground floor, and the ambiance.

We chose to sit on the terrace, which was covered with the bamboo and some tarpaulin. After sometime, it stared to pour, and we could enjoy the rain falling on the ground, trees enjoying each drop of the rain, which otherwise is a rare sight in this city.

We ordered Pasta Puttanesca and a Burger, hot chocolate and an Americano.

The pasta was supercilious, it had a perfect tomato sauce, with excellent flavors of herbs, capers, garlic and olives. The 2 slices of garlic bread that comes with the pasta fills you really well.

Hot Chocolate

The hot chocolate was nice but could have been a little better, though it was perfect for the weather.

For this entire experience we shelled out around seven hundred rupees, but was truly worth an experience. It is a must visit!!!
