Love Thy Kababi

Would you like to have good kebabs without burning a hole in the pocket??? You can try "Love Thy Kababi". The place is ideally located on B.G Road just after Reliance Mart signal, right above Reebok factory outlet showroom.

Since the weather is perfect to have kebabs and grilled food, we headed for Love Thy Kababi on last friday. The area surely sounds a bit out of foodies map, but believe me, it wasn’t a disappointment at all.

It is a beautiful casual dining place, infact huge place, can accommodate 60-65 people seated. I would say it’s good for corporate dinners. The ambience is beautiful and not fancy fancy. It has wooden table chairs, earthen color painted walls, adorned with the posters of sardarji giving gyan on Kebabs.

The posters prints were infact created to give an appearance of the newspaper clipping. They have ample space for two/four wheeler parking, which is another positive to add.

We reached a little before nine in the evening. The place wasn’t crowded, infact only few tables were occupied. The garçon gave us two huge menu card printed on the card board, which of course resembles to the ones at quite a few place, like probably at Cafe Noir in U B city.

We asked him what the specialty at the restaurant, as the menu had loads of vegetarian and non-vegetarian kebabs and of course it gets difficult to interpret from the name. Going by his suggestion, we ordered Tikka Surkhi Chicken and kebab Methi Paneer to begin with. My buddy ordered lime mint juice while I decided to play safe, sticking to Pepsi.

It wasn’t really a long wait. We got the Paneer Kebab first and then the Chicken. Well, I must say the paneer was really good. I haven’t tried Methi Paneer Kebab anywhere else, the paneer was well marinated giving the right flavour of methi. It was moderately spiced as we don’t really prefer gulping too much water with food.

The chicken was okay not that great. May be we hurried him up. I must compliment the size of pieces, just perfect for kebabs.

The portion wasn’t huge, but fairly decent. Lime mint was surely a better bet than Pepsi. It had a great lemony minty flavour. Surely to order it next time.

For the main course we decided to order Chicken Biryani. That was a bit of disappointment, as I had expected it to be served in the metal deep dish sealed with the dough to keep the aroma nicely captured in it. But it was in a regular bowl, had a slightly less amount of biryani spices than what one would expect. Nevertheless it was a great for the price. It had two huge pieces of chicken, the quantity was just right for both of us.

Overall the experience was really good. We enjoyed the evening and on top of it the ambience. The experience coasted us six hundred rupees including the pourboire.

Well, they do have home delivery with a minimum order of three hundred rupees only.
